Automated Express Services

WIN Energy REMC is pleased to announce that we have added a Pay-By-Phone option to our Automated Express Services toll free number, 888-456-9876. Previously, this number reached our Outage Express system and was for reporting power outages only. We have now added a feature for obtaining account information and making payments called Payment Express using this same number.

In the past, WIN Energy REMC Customer Service Representatives have been able to process your payments over the phone by credit or debit card. In order to be compliant with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, we can no longer take payments by phone. All phone payments must go through our Payment Express system. These requirements are designed to protect your financial information by helping to prevent credit card fraud through increased data controls.

You can still call the Automated Express Services number to report an outage, but now there is an option that will provide information such as, the amount of your last payment, the date your last payment was received, the total amount due, and the due date. It will also allow you to pay by phone with a credit/debit card or electronic check. This is a FREE service; there are no additional fees to pay by phone.

When you call Automated Express Services, you will be prompted to select “1” to report an outage, or “2” to make a payment. If you select “1” you will be directed to the Outage Express system. Selecting “2” will direct you to the new Payment Express option. In order to maintain the highest level of security, your account and banking information cannot be stored in the Payment Express system. You will need to have your WIN Energy REMC account number and financial information available prior to calling. If you want to pay more than one account, each transaction will be processed separately. The system will prompt you to enter the account number and payment information for each individually.

This automated system provides a secure, direct connection to your account and payment information. There are no long menus to navigate, just two options: Outage Express or Payment Express. You can access Automated Express Services anytime, day or night by calling 888-456-9876.

Payments can still be made online through your SmartHub account. If you would prefer to make payments online but do not have a SmartHub account, visit our website at to register. Credit and debit card payments are also still accepted in our three offices.

Use the Automated Express Services number to get account information, pay by phone or report an outage, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
