WIN ENERGY REMC JOINS TOUCHSTONE ENERGY® ALLIANCE  On April 1, 2009 WIN Energy REMC joined the ranks of cooperative electric utilities across the country as a Touchstone Energy® cooperative. Touchstone Energy is a national alliance of local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives providing high standards of service to customers large and small. More than 640 Touchstone Energy cooperatives in 46 states are delivering energy and energy solutions to more than 30 million customers every day.
The Touchstone Energy brand will take WIN Energy and its members into the future as the electric industry changes. Electric cooperatives across the United States launched the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives brand to represent the advantages of locally owned and controlled electric service, which is rooted in the direct link that electric cooperatives like WIN Energy have with their customers. By pooling resources through the brand with other cooperative utilities, WIN Energy will be able to provide consumer information and awareness of their customer-focused services as the electric utility evolves.

As such, we are an advocate for our members and we support the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives values of innovation, accountability, integrity and commitment to community. Through the Co-op Connections Card, members can also obtain discounts at major pharmacies nationwide. The pharmacy program entitles you to get 10 to 60 percent savings on most prescriptions at over 50,000 retailers including CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Target and others.
When you show your card or key fob at businesses displaying the Co-op Connections decals and window stickers, you will receive their special offer just for being a member of WIN Energy REMC! The website will be updated as new deals are added and updates will appear in the Electric Consumer.

***UNDERGROUND LINE LOCATING*** Effective September 1, 2004, member's of WIN Energy REMC must contact the Indiana
Underground Plant Protection Service (IUPPS) at (800) 382-5544 to have underground electrical
lines located. This is in accordance with a recent law passed in the state of Indiana. Please call
at least two working days prior to digging but no earlier than 20 calendar days before you dig.
It is the member's responsibility to notify IUPPS of any digging, whether it is a major excavation project
or a simple project such as installing a fence or mailbox. If IUPPS is not notified and damage is done to the underground lines,
it will be the member's responsibility to pay for the cost of the repairs. A simple call to IUPPS
could save you costly damages and possibly even your life.
The Indiana Underground Plant Protection Service is a FREE statewide utility
notification service that has been providing Hoosiers and member utilities a cost effective means of
locating their underground utility lines for over 21 years.
