2015 Annual Meeting
Thank you to those who attended our 76th annual meeting, which was held March 28, at Vincennes Lincoln High School. Your involvement and support of your cooperative is greatly appreciated.
At this year’s annual meeting there were 566 registered members, as well as several guests. Among those in attendance were Vera Potts age 95, who was awarded a gift for being the oldest member in attendance. The door prizes that members received this year were a $5.00 electric bill credit, a fleece blanket, and an LED light bulb. Members also had a chance to win one of 125 attendance prizes. Congratulations to the grand prize winner, Stephanie Page who won the John Deere riding lawn mower.
During registration, attendees were entertained by bluegrass musicians from Mariah Creek and Evan Twitty. The meeting began with Carsyn Wayland, a ninth grade student from Sullivan High School, singing the National Anthem followed by Board Director, Phillip Carter leading the invocation. Board Chairman, Daniel Schuckman and corporate attorney, E.D. Powell conducted the business meeting. The financial reports were given by Board Treasurer, Marion Jochim and REMC auditor, Joe Boesing.
The election of directors was conducted and the members that were present voted to elect the following directors to represent the membership in their districts: Dan Schuckman to represent district 3, Harley Drake to represent district 8, and Phillip Carter to represent district 9.
